ABOUT PETR

Born in Siberia, Russia, Petr studied classical ballet and Russian folk dancing from the age of seven to fourteen. Identified for his talent, he then went to Moscow for further training in modern and jazz dance.  At the age of 17, he moved to Sydney to continue with full time performing arts followed by five years of professional dancing throughout the USA and Europe.

Following a major lower back injury and a year of rehabilitation, Petr developed a keen interest in learning about the body holistically and how it functions. Thus began a passion for exercise and fitness. He qualified as a Master Trainer with Cert 4 in Fitness and started working at Fitness First. Further study continued with the CHEK Institute, HLC1 and 2 and Exercise Coach qualifications where he learnt how to assess the body, about posture, range of motion and nutrition. 

 

Today, with over 20  years in the fitness industry, Petr brings to his personal training a highly effective combination of the technique and discipline of his early years and the latest knowledge and methods of modern health, fitness and exercise training. 

 

His clients range from age 16 to 89,  including those who first came to him with an injury or limited movement, those wanting to lose weight and improve their fitness and professional athletes and sports people. 

 

His sessions are highly personalised with the aim being to achieve optimal results for every client.

Getting Started

​

The first appointment with Petr is a free consultation of 15 to 30 minutes. This is a face to face* meeting at the gym where Petr will listen to your goals and explain how he can assist you in achieving them. Next, Petr recommends the Starter Package.

Starter Package

​

Petr will conduct a physical assessment and demonstrate and teach you the best stretches and mobility work for your body. He will then carefully take you through the individualised program he has developed in accordance with your goals.

​

Consists of 5 one hour sessions:

1. Physical assessment

2. Stretches & mobility work

3. Thirty minutes stretches & mobility and then start of your individual program

4. Completion of your program

5. Focus on core strength & stability

Personal Training

Once you have completed the Starter Package, you will be ready to begin your training program.

Whilst you may wish to do this by yourself, it is recommended you continue your sessions with Petr in order to maintain the optimal technique and motivation.

As you progress, Petr will adjust your program according to your level of fitness and any new circumstances.

The gym is equipped with a wide range of cardio equipment, strength and free weights, foam rollers, Swiss balls, TRX, cables, Olympic rings and a massage room.
